FinCo joins forces with Erasmus University Rotterdam
A unique opportunity in education. This autumn, our Rotterdam neighbour, Erasmus University Rotterdam (EUR), is launching a new series of programmes aimed at the future leaders of the energy transition. The programme will be run by EUR’s business school, Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University (RSM), one of Europe’s best institutes in this field. FinCo Group is delighted to be one of the 15 founding partners of this programme, which offers courses and specialisations at both bachelor’s and master’s levels, as well as to managers who have been in the industry for a while.
Anyone who has studied or been involved in the energy transition in recent years knows how incredibly complex this issue is and how important it is that different parties work together. RSM wants students and managers to not only gain knowledge about the energy transition, but to also be trained in an integral, comprehensive strategy and approach. So that they not only know about technological innovations, but also about legislation, finance, geopolitics, capital markets, human behaviour and social innovations. We need a wide-ranging knowledge on the matter in order to be able to implement the necessary changes in the forthcoming years.
A lot of attention will also be paid to the development of leadership skills, such as leading transitions, stakeholder management and communication. To ensure that these skills will have a broad base, RSM will be collaborating with Delft University of Technology and the other faculties of EUR.
Today’s leaders still have several years of being able to share their expertise before passing the baton to the next generation. We want to feed these young people with knowledge about science, public administration and business as quickly as possible. While, at the same time, also learning from their opinions and ideas.
For FinCo Fuel, this offers a unique opportunity to share our own knowledge and experience as well as to gain new knowledge and experience. What’s more, it is a great way to keep in touch with precisely that young generation of talented transition experts, who can strengthen our sustainable organisation and take it forth into the (near) future. In addition to the above-mentioned comprehensive training programme, one of the other ambitions is to set up a community where knowledge can be exchanged and different generations can meet each other. We can’t wait.
