Decarb Desk by FincoEnergies shortlisted for the World Sustainability Awards 2026 Digital Provider Award

FincoEnergies is proud to announce that Decarb Desk by FincoEnergies has been shortlisted for the World Sustainability Awards 2026 in the Digital Provider Award category.

The World Sustainability Awards recognise organisations that are embedding sustainability into business strategy and delivering measurable impact. The 2026 shortlist includes global organisations such as ZeroNorth, HEINEKEN Global Procurement, Osapiens, Kyndryl, alongside other companies demonstrating sustainability leadership and innovation.

This year’s shortlist was evaluated by an independent expert panel of Chief Sustainability Officers and senior sustainability leaders from organisations including Audemars Piguet, Iveco Group, Perfetti Van Melle and HEINEKEN. Winners will be announced on 22 October 2026 at The Garden of Amsterdam, following the World Sustainability Congress 2026.

For FincoEnergies, the nomination recognises the role of Decarb Desk as a digital solution for verified transport decarbonisation. Through the Decarb Desk platform and API, organisations can access, allocate and verify lower-emission transport solutions in a scalable and auditable way.

A key example is FincoEnergies’ collaboration with Eurowag, through which Biofuel Swap is made available across a network of more than 300,000 trucks in Europe. By integrating Biofuel Swap via the Decarb Desk API, transport companies can switch to sustainable biofuels through a digital platform, without changing operations or investing in new vehicles.

Each conversion to biofuels is supported by a verified customer certificate, including traceability data and third-party audit. This gives customers reliable proof of their emissions reduction and supports sustainability reporting.

Paul Bakker, Head of Digital Products & Innovation at FincoEnergies, said:

“This nomination is a strong recognition of what we are building with Decarb Desk: digital infrastructure that makes transport decarbonisation more practical, scalable and reliable. Through our collaboration with Eurowag, we are showing how verified lower-emission transport solutions can be embedded directly into the platforms that transport companies already use.”

The nomination underlines FincoEnergies’ ambition to combine physical energy supply with digital infrastructure, helping customers and partners accelerate the transition to more sustainable transport.
